LinkQuest Inc., a fast growing and profitable advanced technology company based in San Diego, California, is looking for a software engineer, a DSP firmware/FPGA engineer and a system (algorithm) engineer to expand its R&D effort  in leading-edge medical ultrasound imaging systems and precision acoustic instruments. LinkQuest is specialized in developing highly complicated and high value systems requiring competence in multiple advanced technical areas. The qualified candidates are invited to join a highly competent R&D team led by two Berkeley educated PhDs.  15 of LinkQuest's R&D staff hold PhD degrees.

1. Software Engineer

Design and implementation of sophisticated 2-D, 3-D and 4-D Graphical User Interface and other Man-Machine interface programs to dynamically process, manage and display complicated video, images and data for medical imaging and acoustic instruments. Interface of the software to high performance real-time systems and integration of the software with various external sensors and third-party software. This position requires extensive skills and experiences in programming complicated GUI applications in Windows environment. Hands-on experiences in Visual C++, MFC and OpenGL are strongly preferred.

BS degree in computer science/electrical engineering is required. MS degree in computer science/electrical engineering is strongly preferred.

2. DSP Firmware/FPGA Engineer

Design and implementation of DSP and micro-controller firmware for advanced digital signal processing and digital imaging processing algorithms, device drivers and management and control functions. This position requires strong hands-on experience in DSP/Micro-controller firmware development using C and assembly languages. Experience in modern embedded programming and debugging environment is strongly preferred.  Experience with FPGA programming is a plus.

B.S. degree in electrical engineering or computer science is required. M.S. degree is strongly preferred.

3. System (Algorithm) Engineer

Development of digital signal processing and image processing algorithms for advanced medical ultrasound imaging systems and precision acoustic instruments. Work includes analytical algorithm development, functional and error analysis, computer simulation, mixed hardware and computer emulation, and field and clinical test verification. This position requires strong digital signal processing education, good intuition and experience with derivation and analysis in the applied research area. The candidate should be familiar with Matlab & C programming and experienced with processing experimental data on computers. Experience in 2D & 3D image processing and array signal processing is a plus.

PhD degree in electrical engineering, physics, applied mathematics and related fields is required. For candidates with strong mathematics and physics background, basic digital signal processing education is acceptable.
