As you all have heard from the news or the radio, a massive earthquake hit southwestern China on Monday. As of Thursday, May 19, the quake had already taken over 34,073 lives, injured over 245,108, and devastated the livelihood of millions of innocent civilians in affected areas. What is even more devastating is the fact that there are more than 1,405 people listed as missing, and nearly 12,300 people are confirmed to be buried in debris clinging to hopes of an eventual rescue.

Your UCLA Anderson Greater China Business Association (GCBA) convened an emergency meeting and has decided to extend its helping hands to organize a donation drive while increasing the overall disaster awareness of everyone at UCLA Anderson.
During the period of May 19th to May 22nd (Monday to Thursday), GCBA will be serving Chinese gourmet lunchbox and Bubble Tea at the Anderson Courtyard during lunchtime. The entire sales proceed and all voluntary donations will be passed directly to the Red Cross Association of China in the name of UCLA Anderson for purchases of rescue supplies, tents, medical equipments, food, and drinking water for immediate relief to the quake victims.

Anderson, here is how you can help:
1) Purchase lunch and bubble tea at the GCBA booth at the Anderson Courtyard
2) Make voluntary donations to the designated GCBA donation box or address donation checks to GCBA
3) Tell your friends about this meaningful event
