TITLE: CSSA-UCLA Griffith Observatory Tour 2009

Dear CSSA-UCLA members,

The 2008-2009 academic year is coming to an end on Friday, June 12. Let's
celebrate our survival through the year and the beginning of the summer
by taking a trip to the well-known Griffith Observatory on Saturday, June
13. Sitting on the south-facing slope of Mount Hollywood in L.A.'s
Griffith Park, the Griffith Observatory commands a view of the Los
Angeles Basin, including downtown Los Angeles to the southeast,
Hollywood to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the southwest. The
observatory is a popular tourist attraction that features an extensive
array of space- and science-related displays.

See detailed introduction of the observatory and the park through the links

public, commonly targeting the Moon, planets, and brightest showpiece
objects of our galaxy.
