标题: [CSSA-UCLA] One world, one dream: UCLA Olympic Week

Dear friends,

As you all have known, over the past month, a number of extremist
groups had created riots and massively interfered with the Olympic
torch relay in different regions across the world. However, some
western media had been so biased that the truth has been entirely
masked from the general public, which is a total violation of their
professionalism. What's more, some media reports had turn out to be
shameful assaults and battery towards Chinese people. Now that we have
come to realize those shocking and ugly acts, we are more determined
than ever to act against those knaveries!

We believe that the unique goal of the Olympics is to bring the world
together in peace to celebrate athletic prowess. We believe that
politics and Olympics should be kept separate in the spirit of
competition.

In order for the western general public to listen to a different voice
and get a better picture of modern Beijing/China and how Chinese are
getting ready for the Olympics games, CSSA-UCLA has scheduled next
week to be the Olympic Week (April 14-18) on UCLA campus.

 Detailed schedule:

1)  When: Mon. 11am-1pm
Tues. 8am-2pm
Wed. 11am-1am
Thurs. 12pm-1pm
Fri. 12pm-1pm
2)  Where: Bruin Walk
3)  Form: Exhibition
4)  Theme: Concentrating on Beijing Olympics, the exhibit would start
with 1984 LA Olympics; end with how modern China is anticipating the
world to attend and experience the oncoming Beijing Olympics.
Included would be the principles of the Olympics, how the
constructional work of Olympic facilities/gyms has been nearing its
finishing point, Chinese people enthusiastically welcoming friends
from all over the world, Olympics being welcomed globally. We also
would have mascots "Fu Wa" strolling around and relevant banners hung
on site.

5)  What you can do: Time to speak up! Time to act! CSSA NOW is
calling for your immediate attention onto this urgent issue at this
unusual time. If you could make any banner, national flags, posters,
signs, with clear images and in fluent yet simple English, e.g. One
world, One dream. Please do so. Any related informational sources
such as photographs and other materials can now be emailed to
cssa.ucla.olympic08@(protected)
could bring your own material to the site.

We all overseas Chinese hold responsibilities for China's rising or
falling. The Beijing Olympics directly links us to the fate of China.
Please show your strong support of Beijing Olympics and our dearest
motherland!!
