Duration Availabilities: 10-week Summer Placement leading to FT Graduate Placement if successful
Weekly Working Hours: Full time, 35-40 Hours per week

Centrica is an integrated energy company operating predominately in the UK and North America.
Upstream they source, generate, process, trade and store energy. Downstream they supply gas and
electricity to millions of homes and businesses and offer a distinctive range of home energy solutions and
low carbon products and services. Centrica was established in 1997 following the demerger of Centrica
from British Gas plc. British Gas supplies gas and electricity to UK residential and business customers,
provides central heating and gas appliance installation and maintenance and low-carbon and energy
efficient products and services.
They are looking for self-driven, high-calibre individuals who can grasp complex commercial issues and
deliver solutions. In return, they'll provide the support, guidance and opportunities to help you become

The assessment process for their graduate programme is designed to identify candidates who
demonstrate strengths in the following competencies:

At each stage of the application process it is important that you keep these key competencies in mind.
Academic qualifications are important. However, you are much more likely to progress if you can provide
full, detailed responses that refer to the competencies above and demonstrate additional skills above and
beyond your academic achievements.
You will need to have a minimum academic qualification.
Engineering: A minimum 2:2 degree classification in a related discipline is required. For Project
engineering, you must have a Chemical or Mechanical engineering degree. Your degree and institution
should be accredited by the relevant engineering institution. A relevant Master's degree in a related
discipline is preferable.
We'll provide you with the opportunity to work across the business in a wide variety of roles. To enable us
to do this you'll need to remain flexible for the duration of the programme as we may expect you to move
