1. Second-hand/Life Information Platform

Dear Members,

CSSA's registration with the University will not be restored until a new Constitution has been approved at the EGM.

Before that, we are not allowed to use further University computing resources including the ucam-cssa@cam.ac.uk mailing list which was used to post information from our members. To migitate this, all members can send your ad to postinfo@cssacam.org and we will post it to the temporarily Life Info section on our website (http://cssacam.org/category/life/ ). (Due to the serious short of stuff who are familiar with the technical procedures of this, we cannot guarantee how fast a post can be made, but please be assured that it will be on the website within a reasonable amount of time unless we replied to explain to you why it won't be.)

2. Invitation for Healthcare Recruiting Seminar with BCG Greater China

Dear all,

Happy Chinese New Year! On behalf of The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Greater China practice, I wish you a joyful and prosperous new year of 2012!

BCG is a leading global management consulting firm. We help our clients—private sector companies, governments, and NGOs—solve critical, challenging problems. With more than 74 offices in over 42 countries, we are growing faster than our key competitors in every region.

Greater China is a key growth market for BCG. We have already built a long track record and solid reputation which keep clients turning to us for help in navigating the dynamic business environment. In Greater China, we have been continually supporting many of our long-term local and multinational clients with their strategy and implementation.

Advanced degree holders are, and will always be, an integral part of who we are. Our founding partners held doctorates in areas as varied as biology, anthropology, psychology, and economics. Our current CEO and more than 50 of our partners—including in Greater China—hold advanced degrees, as do more than one third of our new hires, globally.

As such, I would like to invite you to our Healthcare Recruiting Seminar held in London. This event will be a good opportunity for you to find out more about the fascinating and high impact work we do in healthcare industries in Greater China, as well as to discuss a career in management consulting in general terms.

Attendees : Final or penultimate year doctorial degree (PhD/DPhil/MD) candidates with healthcare-related background, e.g. life sciences, medicine and healthcare policy

Time: 13:00-15:00, March 11th, Sunday, 2012
Venue: BCG London Office, 20 Manchester Square, London W1U 3PZ
RSVP: If you are interested, please send your resume to REC.GC@BCG.COM by midnight 17th February, 2012.

In your resume, please state your academic performance (school, expected degree, publications, etc.), extracurricular activities (student associations, pro bono work, etc.), work experience (full time, part-time, or internships), and level of fluency in both English and Mandarin.

Due to our capacity, we will only be able to invite 20 students for this event. Invitation will be confirmed with you by March 5th, 2012.

We are proud of our strong team and now hope to expand it with people who are as passionate about creating long lasting change in Greater China as we are. Please visit www.bcg.com.cn  for information about our Greater China practice. Should you have any question about application, please feel free to send email to yu.jinglan@bcg.com.

I look forward to meeting you in person.

Best regards,

Xinyi Wu
Partner & Managing Director
